This food processing and distribution facility aims to become a national model for supporting local, sustainable, and regenerative agriculture. A carefully considered landscape and integrated architectural design engages an existing system of recreational greenways while reinforcing Springdale’s “main street” as the primary commercial and cultural corridor.

The program endeavors to grow farmers through training courses, market access and technical assistance; grow markets through distribution of quality produce to local retailers, restaurants, and the public; and grow entrepreneurship through access to state-of-the-art commissary kitchens and educational programs to empower the next generation of food-based businesses. The 47,000 square-foot food processing facility and landscape will serve as a community anchor by connecting its residents to locally grown food and expanding opportunities for its farmers; strengthening and expanding the regions’ capacity to grow fresh food for its residents.
